On June 30, Ava and Claire Ten Kley, arrived in the home of their grandparents, Jose and Carol Salazar. They spent until July 6 with their grandparents while their parents, Jeremy and Christy Ten Kley traveled to Alaska to visit friends. The girls had lots of fun including swimming, a movie and shopping. On July 2 Jose and Carol and Ava and Claire traveled to the home of the Salazars’ son Troy and April in Des Moines. The girls enjoyed swimming in their pool and eating out. They also were in a big parade to help Troy advertise his new school, Liberty (self directed learning center.)
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Friday to spend time in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. Afternoon visitors were Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden and Anna D’Agrosa of Brooklyn, NY.
Last week Tuesday evening supper guests in the Jose and Carol Salazar home were her sister, Margaret Larson of Worthngton, MN and nieces Sarah Janssen from Denver, CO and Ashley Janssen and daughter, Adjher of Utah. They had a great visit and enjoyed their meal.
Madison Postma of Justin, TX spent the last month in the home of Jim and Heidi Postma along with her father and brother, Brandon and Dylan Postma. Dylan and Madison left Saturday where Dylan will stay for one month to visit in the home of his mother in Texas.
Last week Thursday Lori Greiving of Harlan visited her grandmother, Sylvia Andringa.
Lee and Susie Van Tol attended the Hull celebration parade last Saturday. Their daughter, Mandy Hoekstra, rode on a float and their grandchildren, Afton, Tucker, Emerie and Kenyl Hoekstra rode on a church float.
Last Saturday Carol and Jose Salazar traveled to Worthington, MN to spend the day at the home of her sister, Margaret Larson. They went especially for a barbeque and to visit nieces Sarah Janssen and Ashley Janssen who were visiting from Denver, Co. and Utah.
Visitors of Sylvia Andringa last Saturday were Gary and Gertrude Abels of Sibley.
Last week Thursday Arlene (Reitsma) Frerichs, Gayle (Dummett) Vander Woude, Jacque (Victoria) Comstock, Linda (Maranell) Rozeboom, and Andy (Glazier) Cardin, all of Sanborn and Andy’s sister, Melanie (Glazier) Truitt of Sheldon had lunch at Jay’s. All but Melanie were at some time members of Sanborn High School class of 1963.
Sunday Ray and Henri Schnurr, Linda Rozeboom and Mary Abels of Orange City went to Omaha to attend the birthday party for their great-granddaughter and great-niece, Amorie Lee Nessbitt. Amorie’s Omaha cousins, grandparents and great-grandparents plus friends attended the party.
