Final Summer BQA Transportation Certification Workshop offered Aug. 9 in Orange City
Summer is going quickly, but custom and private cattle transporters can still obtain or renew their Beef Quality Assurance Transportation (BQAT) certificate.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer a certification training on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the ISU Extension and Outreach Sioux County office in Orange City.
The session includes examples of situations featuring safety, animal comfort and protocols to help prevent cattle shrink, bruising and stress.
Please call the Sioux County Extension office at 712-737-4230 by Aug. 7 to register for the free training.
One final in-person BQAT workshop for 2022 will be offered Nov. 29 in Cherokee.
If unable to attend an in-person training, BQAT certification is available online at https://www.bqa.org/programs.
