Annual Bison Burger and Lawn Concert Evening

On August 15th members of Little Sioux Valley Conservation Association welcomes the public to an evening of outdoor enjoyment, starting with a bison burger meal. Dinner if complemented with tours of the Prairie Heritage Center and outdoor features on the prairie grounds. Features include the experience trail, looking out over the Little Sioux Valley through a telescope from the observation tower or wandering through the trails on Hannibal Waterman Prairie, a pristine prairie remnant. The O’Brien County Naturalist, Lindsey Kleinhesselink will be available to lead flower hikes and kids games.
To relax during the evening hours, bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music of Larry Heschke.
Dinner, hosted by Little Sioux Valley Conservation Association, in partnership with O’Brien County Conservation Board, is served from 5:00pm until 7:30pm. Enjoyment of the rich nature and history can be enjoyed the entire day and evening. The evening is a free will donation.
Prairie Heritage Center is located at 4931 Yellow Avenue, Peterson, one mile north of Highway 10 on Yellow Avenue.
