Word was received of the death of Robert Gene “Bob” Berlin. He passed away peacefully in Collierville TN on June 14 after a short illness.
Bob was born in Sanborn on April 30, 1945 to Darlene Marie Mattson Berlin and John Raymond Berlin. He graduated from Sanborn High School (1963), the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1967), and the College of Recording Arts (1978). He served 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. In 2023, he retired from Stanford University where he worked for over 20 years in the Graduate School of Business Administration.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Dennis Ray Berlin and his younger sister Melba Ann Berlin Shipp. He is survived by two children, three grandsons, his older brother Donald Dean Berlin and his former wife Patricia Shearer Shoemaker.
