A reminder that this is winter
The week of January 7-13 was a white one in Sanborn. A total of over 10 inches of snow fell. In northwest Iowa events on Monday and Tuesday were postponed or cancelled. The same happened again on Friday and through the weekend with a winter storm warning being followed by a blizzard warning. As an added assault, late in the week the temperatures plummeted with a low of 23 degrees below zero recorded.
