The Norm Holz family celebrated a belated Christmas Sunday in the parental Norm Holz home. Present were Patty and Dick Miller from Smithville, MO, Steve and Sharon Holz, Randy and Debbie Holz, Thomas and Gail Gieser, and Lon and Debra Holz all of Sheldon. The traditional oyster, vegetable, chicken noodle soups were enjoyed.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Thursday and spent until Sunday in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. Charlotte’s grandson, Brian Gray of Rochester, MN spent Saturday and Sunday with them.
On Friday Joyce Tewes, Elaine Dagel, Cindy McParland, Carol Salazar, Margaret Larsen, Nancy Nagel and Mary Waltz traveled to Sheldon and ate at the Pizza Ranch to celebrate Mary’s birthday. They reported a fun time, great visit and good food.
On Sunday Carol Salazar visited her brother, Randy Brounko who resides at Prairie View.
Weekend visitors in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Chloe Holland from Buffalo Center, and Garrett Barloon from Mason City.
Lindy Buren reported that her son, James Carney has been dismissed from the Sibley hospital and is back home and is walking again.
The Crazy 8 Card Club met for lunch and cards on Friday at Jay’s Restaurant & Lounge. Ruth Hanno won high, Barb Pry second, and Donna Fell was low.
