Robbery Public Statement from Sanborn Savings Bank

On Monday, January 22, 2024 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the Sanborn Savings Bank was robbed.
No one was injured during the incident which lasted less than two minutes. The Bank lobby was closed for the balance of the day to preserve the crime scene but is now open to the public. No customer assets were compromised during the incident.
We would like to thank the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Department and the Sanborn Police Department for their help and quick response to the robbery. We would also like to thank our staff for their professionalism in following their training procedures to insure no one was harmed.
This is the first time in Sanborn Savings Bank’s 125 year history that it has been robbed.
