Chuck’s IGA will be serving free pizza all day Friday and Saturday in observance of their 26th anniversary.
Increasing numbers of Sanborn adults and youngsters have been effected by the flu epidemic in northwest Iowa. Sanborn Community School reported 65 absentees Monday, 84 Tuesday, and 93 Wednesday of this week….the Sanborn Christian School reported that they have not had a large number of absentees.
At a meeting of the City Council last Tuesday evening Madeline Seivert was appointed Deputy Clerk for the City of Sanborn.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Elgersma celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary at open house January 18 at the Sanborn Christian School gymnasium.

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Venenga will be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary on February 14.
The Sanborn pastors will be meeting for prayer and discussion on February 4 11 a.m. to noon at Grace Evangelical Free Church.
The 25th anniversary of Pat’s Beauty Shop will be observed with an open house February 9 in appreciation of the customers’ patronage over the past 25 years.
We are pleased to announce Jeri Prins is now an insurance agent with our agency, Elgersma Agency.
Chaplain Matt Warnke U.S.N. called his parents Ken and Harriett Warnke that he is ready to leave Honolulu, Hawaii where he has been stationed and will arrive in Rhode Island to attend Chaplain School for a month.
