Postage rate increases go into effect March 1 with first class going from 8 cents to 10 cents.
Mr. and Mrs. Greg Vogelaar entertained relatives at their home Friday evening to help their sons Scott and Mike celebrate their birthdays.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Van Meeteren arrived Friday and plan to make their home here. Glenn completed his Navy service in January.
The Robert Baumgarn family moved Saturday into the Koldenhoven home they purchased on Prospect Street.

Ed and Julie Farrell are the new managers at the Sanborn Country Club.
Another helping of winter’s furry was served to area residents on Monday. Three inches of snow fell on Sanborn and the wind contributed to poor visibility.
The Sanborn Community Center has been embellished with a new awning with lettering on the front.
Harold and Marly Hoekstra returned home Sunday from vacationing in Arizona and New Mexico.
