HMS 1st and 2nd Grade Concert
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 1st and 2nd Grade Concert was held March 12 in the high school gym. The theme was “Music is Everywhere” with the students under the direction of Mrs. Lewis.
They began the program by singing Hello to All the Children of the World. They continued with Tongo (Polynesian work song), Michael Finnegan (Irish Folk Song), Au Clair de la Lune (French lullaby) and John Jacob Jingle Heimer Schmidt (German/American folk song). The students next performed Los Machetes, a Mexican folk dance.
The singing resumed with I Bought Me a Cat (British Isles folk song), My Hat It Has Three Corners (German folk song), Los Colores de la Vida and finally Oh, My Aunt Came Back (American folk song).
