‘Eggcitement’ abounds at Community Easter Egg Hunt

First Reformed Church hosted their second annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. The morning began with many hands distributing all the eggs around on the church lawn. There was a time of fellowship with coffee, juice and donuts served and a short message was shared about the true meaning of Easter…that Jesus is Alive.
The kiddos were then let loose and they enjoyed filling their baskets and bags with a ton of eggs. The Easter Bunny hopped in this year, wearing a shirt that read “Silly Rabbit, Easter is for Jesus.”
A special thank you goes out to Locomotion Lanes and Sanborn Park & Rec for their donations that were a part of the prizes that went to six kiddos ages 0-4, 5-8 and 9-12.
First Reformed Church feels that it was a blessing to share this event with those in the community and they look forward to next year to share with them that the true meaning of Easter is not the eggs, the candy or the Bunny, but it’s Jesus and He is Alive!
