Last week Monday afternoon George and Helen Andringa visited his mother, Sylvia Andringa and took her out for supper.
Cathy Gray of Rochester, MN came Saturday to visit her mother, Charlotte Dasen. She returned home Sunday afternoon.
Ed and Jolene Greving of Estherville visited her mother, Sylvia Andringa Sunday.
Easter dinner guests in the home of Jackie Van Engen Easter Sunday were Mark and Donna Koerselman of Sheldon, Kristi and Kevin Maloney and Allison, and Deanne Gibson of Sioux City, Kyle and Lori Koerselman, Callie, Cody, Chloe and Cooper of Sherburn, MN and Kevin and Lisa Koerselman, Kaiden and Karter. The flu bug prevented Hillary and Danny Duncan from attending but food was sent back to Sioux City for them. The gathering was also in honor of Kaiden Koerselman, who made public Profession of Faith during the Easter service that morning at First Reformed Church. Kaiden is a son of Kevin and Lisa. His parents and all the rest of the group are very proud of this special young man. The afternoon was spent visiting, reminiscing, and eating desserts, highlighted by a special cake, baked and decorated by Lisa. They reported that Easter is a special day to the family but this Easter was extra special and will always be remembered.
Harriet Van Veldhuizen and three of her daughters: Nancy Van Dyke of Sanborn and Diane McKee and Shari Pyle of Sioux Falls, SD, spent Easter weekend with Harriet’s cousin, Mildred Blankers at Bradenton, FL. They attended the Presbyterian choir cantata, “The Lord’s Prayer” on Friday evening and also the Presbyterian Easter Sunday service. On Saturday they enjoyed the Mote Aquarium and a tour boat ride at Sarasota. Sunday evening they were joined by Nancy’s uncle and aunt-in-law, Gary and Laurie Van Dyke, also of Bradenton, for the evening meal.
Birth
Harriet Van Veldhuizen is happy to report the birth of her great-granddaughter, Elizah Faith, born April 3 to Justin and Abby Pritchard of Sturgis, SD. Shari Pyle of Sioux Falls, SD is the grandmother.
