Nancy Van Dyke, Donna and Kim Farrell, and Harriet and Jeanne Van Veldhuizen went to Sioux Falls Saturday afternoon to attend a bridal shower for Jennifer Anderson, future bride of Nancy’s son, David Van Dyke. Harriet and Nancy stayed overnight at the home of Diane McKee and all spent the evening at the Orpheum Theater performance of “Oklahoma” with Shari Pyle. They attended Sunday morning worship services with Diane.
Renae (Grave) McCarty of Rock Rapids visited Charlotte Dasen last week Wednesday afternoon. The two were both employed at The Sanborn Pioneer years ago.
Dinner guests in the home of Mike and Judy Visser Sunday were Lee and Susie Van Tol, Gertie Visser, and Justin and Mandy Hoekstra and family of Hull.
Andrew Suckow of West Des Moines came Friday to visit his parents, Jim and Becky Suckow. He returned home on Tuesday.
The Crazy 8 card club met Friday at Jay’s Restaurant & Lounge for lunch and then played cards. Sandi Kleve won high score, Gayle Vander Woude second, and Linda Rozeboom was low.
Debbie Raymond flew to Houston, TX last week Thursday to care for their two oldest grand-children, Lincoln and Cecilia while their parents, Reggie and Jackie Booker and daughter, Molly took a weekend to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. They returned home on Sunday and Debbie returned home on Tuesday.
Weekend guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Alissa, Chloe, Taylen, Ellie and Jase Holland of Buffalo Center. Sunday afternoon Carol, Alissa, Chloe, Taylen and Ellie and Jase traveled to Larchwood to attend a baby shower for Cody and Morgan Holz. Also attending from Sanborn were Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright, and Becky Suckow. Cody is a grandson of Jack and Carol Elgersma.
Rae Lyn, Roger and Ethan Paulson of Sheldon took Wade and Sherryl Tressler out for supper on Saturday. It was an early birthday celebration for Sherryl. Joining them for the meal was Connie Brewster of Sanborn.
