Mi’Ono Open House showcases improvements at Roseland Cemetery

The Mi’Ono Club held an Open House at the Information Shed at Roseland Cemetery on the Saturday before Memorial Day. The people who came to the cemetery to decorate graves or who were simply there for the Open House had the opportunity to see the improvements to the cemetery brought about by the Mi’Ono Club with the help of the City of Sanborn employees.
Inside the Information Shed is a map of Roseland Cemetery with the street names to help people navigate. The map can also be viewed at the boulevard entrance to the cemetery, which is Hickory Lane by the way. Also at the Info Shed, located between Sections J and I, is a book listing in alphabetical order the names of those, living or deceased, with plots in Roseland. Accompnying each name is the Section, Lot # and Spot. Another reference tool available is a binder with pages arranged alphabetically by Section. Finally, a poster gives an example of how the graves (spots) are numbered 1 through 8 in each Lot.
Also on each of the two maps is the website address www.GraveDiscover.com which can assist people in locating a particular grave.
