Saturday afternoon Lindy Buren’s neighbor, Connie Brewster, watched the exciting Iowa vs. Iowa State football game with her. Iowa State won.
Labor Day dinner guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Stacy Eeten of Sioux Falls, SD and Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright of Sanborn. Kennedy also enjoyed celebrating her fourth birthday on Labor Day.
Last Monday John and Loretta Boender took her mother, Sylvia Andringa, to Worthington. There they helped celebrate the 100th birthday of Sylvia’s sister Tracy, in the home of the Marvin Kuipers, Tracy’s son. Only close relatives attended.
On Saturday, Sept. 7, Harriet Van Veldhuizen attended the wedding of her granddaughter, Heather Brunsting and John Berroth of Tea, SD held at the Carmel Reformed Church south of Rock Valley. It was followed by a reception and dinner at the Parkview Event Center in Rock Valley. Harriet and her daughter, Shari Pyle of Sioux Falls were also guests the night before at the rehearsal at the church and a family and friends dinner at the Doon Community Center. Others from Sanborn attending the wedding were John, Donna and Kim Farrell and Ryan and Nancy Van Dyke.
