On Thursday Carol Salazar, Cindy McParland, Elaine Dagel, Mary Waltz, Jean Larson and Nancy Dagel traveled to Spencer to enjoy a lunch at The Sports Page to celebrate the birthday of Nancy. They reported a great visit and delicious lunch.
Lindy Buren worked Monday and Tuesday and Saturday’s Grand Opening at Fresh Start Market and Boutique, former Many Hands in Spencer. She stayed with her niece, Meloni Menglesen who is the assistant manager. Volunteers can set the hours they choose to work. She said it’s a great place to work, and fun for everyone; staff and customers. This is a non-profit organization and all proceeds go to Spencer charities and flood victims. Donations are appreciated on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Crazy 8 Card Club met recently at Jay’s Restaurant for lunch and cards. Jean Snyder was high, Ardis Dummett was second, and Donna Fell was low.
