On Tues., November 26, Jose and Carol Salazar traveled to Fremont, NE to see grandson Jacob Ten Kley who was home on leave, with his wife, from the Marines. They also went to celebrate granddaughter Claire’s baptism on November 27. They ate out, she opened her gifts, and they had cake and ice cream to celebrate. On Friday afternoon the Salazars traveled to the home of their son, Tony in Des Moines. They enjoyed Thanksgiving with his wife, April and family. Also attending were granddaughters Bekah, Hattie, Mik, Isabel and Emma. They enjoyed great food, games and lots of fun and laughter. They returned home on Friday.
Thanksgiving guests in the Wade Tressler home included Ray Huibregtse, Jeff Gerritson, Rae Lyn, Roger and Ethan Paulson.
Charlotte Dasen celebrated Thanksgiving in her home on Saturday with her houseguests, Steve and Anita Goetz of Fairbanks, AK; also Jerry and Cathy Gray of Rochester, MN, Brian Gray of Onalaska, WI, Theresa Zafft, Hannah and Conner of Hayfield, MN and Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden. The Grays and Zaffts were overnight guests.
Thanksgiving Day guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Roy and Stacey Eeten of Sioux Falls, Alissa Holland of Buffalo Center, and Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright of Sanborn.
Lee and Susie Van Tol enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner along with others at the Christian Reformed Church in Sanborn. They were guests of Mike and Judy Visser on Friday. Other guests were Troy and Tanya Bouma and boys of Pella, Justin and Mandy Hoekstra and family of Hull, and Gertie Visser.
Sylvia Andringa and Lois Hakeman enjoyed Thanksgiving at Panama hosted by Bobby and Dana Seivert and children Beck, Noah and Navy. Other guests were Bob and Nella Seivert, and Bobby’s two sisters, Venus and Erin and families, and Brian and Beca Hakeman and daughter.
Don and Pat Enger hosted Thanksgiving dinner Saturday with family. They included Terry and Kerry Enger of Des Moines, Brian and Shelly Enger, Parker and boys of Sioux Falls, Travis and Haley Enger and Callon, Keith and Kailey Enger.
Chad and Andrew Odenbrett hosted a Thanksgiving supper on Thursday. Attending were Glenda and Kent Miller, Mike, Trish, Addi, Colin Odenbrett, Maddison, Kiah, Zach and Syd Wohlert, and Randy Odenbrett.
Scott Chrisman was among the guests Sunday for a Thanksgiving dinner in the Gerry Chrisman home at Sheldon.
Singing the Christmas songs with her granddaughter, Brooklyn, was the first activity for Joanne Anderson when she was in Sioux Falls on Friday at the home of her daughter Wade and Athena. Athena planned a delicious summertime meal of grilled hamburger, and watermelon. Wade was the grill master. Grandchildren Courtney and Rhett and then Brady and Beka stopped by for hugs and updates in the afternoon. The final treat of the afternoon was to hear grandson Gavin play his favorite pieces on the piano.
Glenda and Kent Miller attended a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Sara Luenberger in George. Others attending were Norma Schirmer, Steve, Lisa and Dan Gonnerman, and Sandy and Jim Luenberger.
Danielle Rozeboom of Sioux Falls came last week Monday and stayed until Thanksgiving in the Linda Rozeboom home. Coming on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner were Paul and Shelly Rozeboom and Brett and Kim Weihe and boys of Omaha, NE and Mike and Bryce Rozeboom of Sioux Falls, SD.
Larry and Fran Peelen had an early Thanksgiving with their sons, Tim and Wendy Peelen of Sanborn and Tom and Tricia Peelen of Nevada, MO. Also present were great-grandsons Isiah and Jermiah Peelen of Nevada, MO, granddaughter Samantha Peelen and great-granddaughter Jaylyn. The Missouri Peelens spent the weekend with Larry and Fran.
Randy and Candice Lyman, Chad Lyman and Swede and Ryker Eliker went to Kansas City last Thursday. The guys went to the Chiefs-Raiders football game on Friday.
