Nancy Van Dyke, Donna and Kimberly Farrell and Harriet Van Veldhuizen went to Sioux Falls Sunday afternoon to attend a baby shower for Nancy’s daughter-in-law, Jennifer Van Dyke. It was held at the Sioux Falls Overlook Cafe.
Visitors Thursday in the Charlotte Dasen home were Charlie and Marilyn Schroeck of Arnolds Park, and Kathy Wachtel. They came especially to visit with Charlotte’s house guests, Steve and Anita Goetz.
Lorn Wills had 25 Thanksgiving guests, all bringing something to eat, on Sat., November 30. They came from Sioux Falls, Des Moines, Hull, Rock Valley and Sanborn.
A program, “Advent by Candlelight” was held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday evening with 43 guests in attendance. Seven tables were set up and decorated and a light luncheon was served to the guests. A program, “The Perfect Gift” was presented. Pastor Funke played the organ, and Caleb Funke sang a solo, “O Holy Night” accompanied by Linda Funke. Hostesses were Becky Suckow, CJ Schroeder, and Sandy Kleve.
