Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bootsma of Sanborn will observe their 55th wedding anniversary at a family dinner Sat., February 8 at the Christian School.
Everett Peterson left last week Tuesday to return to his home in Mesa, AZ after spending the past two months in the home of his sister, Mrs. C. Maris, Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly O’Brien from Air Force Base at Minot, ND are visiting in the parental Roy Brown home. Mr. O’Brien will leave February 18 for Lackland Air Force Base where he will take special training for several weeks….On April 1 he will leave to spend a year in Thailand.
The Friendly 12 Club entertained their husbands at dinner January 28 at the Pike. Following the dinner a program was given.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn students selected for the NWIBA Honor Band are Stacy Vander Velde, Rachel Funke, Shanna Vetter, Caleb Funke, Ethanie Wallinga, Matthew Havlik, Rebecca Gerritson, Kari Luenberger, Jill Dykstra and Shayne Mayer.
A group of ladies from Sanborn Christian Reformed Church spent Monday morning in Rock Valley at the Justice For All building sorting clothes that had come in….Since December 1, three loads had been sent out to needy in the United States and another load is ready to go to Inez, KY.
