Correction from last week: Last week Thursday some girls from the Sanborn High School Class of 1969 met at Brady’s Pub in Sheldon to enjoy lunch together and visit. Those attending were MaryAnn Grooters, Sandi Kleve, Cindy McParland, Barb Pry, Carol Salazar, Rexann Brandt and Connie Bosma. They reported having a great lunch and visit.
Randy and Candice Lyman returned home this weekend after vacationing in Arizona. They stopped to visit Candice’s sister, Shawn McReynolds at Joplin, MO and the Lymans’ daughter Kim and Swede Eliker and Ryker and Parker at Lincoln, NE.
The Lee and Susie Van Tol family celebrated Judy Visser’s birthday Saturday morning at the Grain House and remembered others whose birthdays would have been this weekend.
George and Helen Andringa of Bettendorf attended church services Sunday morning with his mother, Sylvia Andringa, and took her out for lunch. They are temporarily working at Spencer with World Renew helping flood victims recovering from the flooding last year.
Anita Goetz of Fairbanks, AK arrived by plane last week Thursday to spend time in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. Sarah Goetz and pooch “Winnie” of Portland, OR arrived by plane on Saturday for a visit. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Cathy Gray of Rochester, MN and Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden. Cathy returned home on Monday and Sarah and Winnie returned home on Tuesday.
Renae McCarty of Rock Rapids visited Charlotte Dasen last week Friday afternoon. The two gals were employees at the Sanborn Pioneer a number of years ago.
Visiting Linda Rozeboom this weekend were Tyler, Sarah, Braelyn and Braxton Rozeboom of Gretna, NE and Paul and Shelly Rozeboom of Omaha, NE.
