Children of the community are invited to attend the Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday afternoon, March 23 at the City Park. The hunt is sponsored by the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce.
Lynn Davis, Junior forward on the Sanborn girls basketball team, has been honored by the Iowa Daily Press and the Des Moines Register as an honorable mention all-state.
Speech contestants entering state competition are Pam McGranahan, Lori Reinsma, David Bohnet, Lisa Luke and Ronda Van Kley.

April 28 and 29 have been set as the dates for garage sale days in Sanborn.
Effective April 1, Vander Woude Oil, Inc. has been purchased by Sanborn Propane, Gerald and Deb Alons. Merle Vander Woude will be working for them and delivering the bulk fuel.
Sanborn newcomers listed in this issue of The Pioneer were Mrs. Oscar Nugent, Bob and Janet Brage, Wade and Kim Heemskerk, Douglas Beltman and John Kleve.
