On April 20 Joanne Andersen was joined by Pamela and Chris Davidson of Des Moines, Peter, Ornuma and Isabella Anderson of Isanti, MN and Athena, Wade and Gavin Kellenberger of Sioux Falls in the city of Mankato, MN. They gathered to attend the final performance of Cinderella by the talented theater and arts students of Minnesota State University, Mankato. Joanne’s granddaughter, Brooke, was in the ensemble cast.
Friday noon Lisa Smith, Glenda Miller, Linda Rozeboom and Charlotte Dasen enjoyed a meal from Jay’s Restaurant, at Charlotte’s home and an afternoon of visiting.
Debbie Raymond spent from Monday to Thursday of last week visiting her dad, Dale McBeth in Sioux Falls along with her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Don Reeves of Garden Grover, CA.
Last Thursday Margaret Larson of Worthington, MN visited in the home of her sister, Carol Salazar. They visited their brother, Randy Brounko who resides at Prairie View. They traveled to Spencer for shopping and lunch. Margaret returned home that afternoon.
The Tresslers attended Wade’s brother, Steve’s Celebration of Life service in Portland, OR. It was a beautiful ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery for Veterans. While in Portland, Ashley Donkersloot and Rex took Wade and Sherryl for a tour. One stop at Crown Point was the windiest place they have ever been to.
Arlene Thorne of Alva, OK was an overnight guest of Harriet Van Veldhuizen on Saturday night. She was in the area for a funeral of a Thorne relative at Milford on Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening Arlene and Harriet went to Prairie View for social time with Jeane Van Veldhuizen and were joined by other Van Veldhuizen cousins: Arlene Punt of Orange City, and Marilynn and Dale DeBoer of Sibley.
The Rite of Confirmation was held during the morning worship service Sunday at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Ema Stofferan was the only confirmand. Interim pastor Kenneth Funke led the service. A reception for the congregation was held in her honor after the service in the fellowship hall, and later a family dinner was enjoyed in her honor.
Weekend guests in the Keith and Nancy Iverson home were several granddaughters: Haley Hanson, Kirsten and Crystal Letsche, Joey Nabor and Jenna Buren.
