Mrs. Frank Koksma, librarian in the Children’s Department of the public library, was pleasantly surprised Monday afternoon. Miss Judy Jensen’s class brought her cake to honor her during Library Week.
Mrs. Lillie Menning bought the remodeled former Grace Wolf residence on West Third Street from Marvin Visser. She plans to move in the near future.
St. Sgt. and Mrs. Dennis Prins and family left Friday by plane for three years of overseas duty in England.
The Candystripers will have a bake sale April 26 at the Sanborn Laundromat from 9-noon.

National Secretaries Week is April 26-28. A special luncheon is planned for April 27, 11:30-1:00 at Jay’s Restaurant.
Seniors at H-M-S may be able to take advantage of Open Campus beginning with the second semester of 2000-2001 school year under a proposal presented to the Board of Education meeting April 17.
