Sanborn High School graduation was held May 22. Graduating with highest honors were Kevin Swalley and Yvonne Rozema. Graduating with high honors was Alan Camarigg. Graduating with honors were Donald McCarty and Dawn Rozeboom.
Henry Bousema is one of three dairymen from O’Brien County who have been awarded Dairy Herds Certification for herds averaging over 10% above their state breed average for milk or fat for the year May 1.

Sanborn Funeral Home received the Award of Excellence in Funeral Home Service at the 120th Annual Iowa Funeral Directors Association Convention held April 18-20 at the convention held in Des Moines. Brad Smith is funeral home director.
Strong winds on May 18 blew down many trees and limbs all through Sanborn.
Boys State qualifiers at HMS were Shane Elgersma, Nick Postma, Ryan Strubbe, Travis Johnson, and Michael Roede.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Postma attended an army reunion of men who had served in Africa and Italy during World War II.
