Sanborn student earns masters in education from Northwestern
Kayla Stofferan was among 163 graduate students who were awarded a Master of Education degree from Northwestern College during commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 10.
Dr. Jenelle Dunkelberger, a 2011 Northwestern College graduate and geneticist with Topigs Norsvin, gave the commencement address.
Stofferan, of Sanborn, graduated with a master’s degree in early childhood from Northwestern College.
Northwestern’s M.Ed. program offers instruction in several tracks—early childhood, educational administration, master teacher, special education, teacher leadership, and teaching history—that are designed to be completed in two years or less, as well as additional endorsements. The program exists entirely online and qualifies graduates for positions like lead teachers, principals, peer coaches, and jobs at AEAs, colleges and nonprofit educational organizations.
