An 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony for the Sanborn Christian School Class of 2025 was held May 21 at Sanborn Christian Reformed Church. This year’s graduates are Tyler Aaron, Kate Billings, Abbigail Carlson, Hudson Espey, Quinn Espey, Jacob Hofman, Jewel Hofman, Caleb Kuperus, Augustine Nwakah, Kinley Sybesma, Elizabeth Van Beek, Carter Van Ess, Ceyla Verbrugge, Camden Visser and Hannah Westra.
The Class Verse is Jeremiah 29:11 – “I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future.” The Class Colors are Metallic Gold, Baby Blue, Dark Baby Pink, Black. The Class Motto is: He has plans for us.
After the Processional, played by Mrs. Starla Reitsma, Mr. Anthony Minderhoud had the Opening Prayer. The Junior High Choir sang “How Deep the Father’s Love” written by Stuart Townend.
Caleb Kuperus gave the Class Greeting which was followed by the Address from Mr. Jake Van Otterloo.
Mr. Minderhoud announced the President’s Academic Awards and Staff Recognition. Next came the Presentation of Graduates and Awarding of Diplomas/Bibles, both by Mr. Minderhoud. The Class Song “Lord, I Need You” was written by Christy Nockels, Daniel Carson, Jesse Reeves, Kristin Stafill and Matt Maher.
The Closing Prayer was from Mr. Quint De Groot. Teachers joined the Junior High Choir to sing “The Blessing” written by Chris Brown, Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe and Steven Furtick. The Postlude was played by Mrs. Halle Van Beek.
