Chad and Rhonda Lyman and Jayden, and Randy and Candice Lyman went to Lincoln, NE this weekend to watch Ryker Eliker play baseball in a tournament. Ryker is the son of Swede and Kim Ryker.
Kent and Glenda Miller spent last week at a cabin at Lake Pahoja with Chad, Hunter, Hayden and Andrew Odenbrett, Emily, Penny, Frannie and Lettie. Lot of great memories were made and lots of fish were caught.
Linda Rozeboom’s cousin, Terry Van Roekel and daughter, Jennifer Kvidera, both of Sergeant Bluff, were Thursday lunch and afternoon visitors of Linda.
Thursday afternoon guests of Annette Haack were Anne (De Kam) Sechrist of Caddo Mills, TX, her daughter and children, Brianna, Lily, Brooke, Hunter Faullener of Houston, TX and Perry and Lori Haack of Boyden. A fun time of sharing memories was enjoyed. The Texas families are cousins of the Haacks.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids returned home Sunday afternoon after spending the past week in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden was an additional dinner and afternoon guest on July 4th and 5th.
Twenty-five residents in the Vander Haag apartments met July 4th for a potluck supper. This is the second year for this party. They reported great food and great conversation. James Carney, who was spending the weekend with his mother Lindy Buren, also attended. He also enjoyed a visit with the Menglesens in Spencer.
Last Saturday Joanne Andersen was in Sioux Falls at the “Parents to Bee” shower for her grandson, Brady and wife Beka. Family and friends spent joy-filled times encouraging the expectant couple.
Last Thursday Troy Salazar and his wife, April arrived in the home of his parents, Jose and Carol Salazar. They came to enjoy the Fourth of July holiday and returned home on Saturday. They reported a great visit.
Dinner guests of Mike and Judy Visser Sunday were Gertie Visser, Lee and Susie Van Tol, Justin and Mandy Hoekstra and family of Hull, and Tanya Bouma and boys of Pella.
Visitors of Sylvia Andringa last Friday were her grandson, Mitchell Andringa and his family of five children of Bettendorf. They all took Sylvia out to lunch while here.
