Two new teachers have been hired by the school board to complete the faculty for the 75-76 school year….Mrs. Marilyn Wandersee will teach English and Spanish. Mr. Dale Whaley has been hired to teach junior high math and be head coach for high school football, girls basketball and girls track.
TOPS #723 met Thursday. Janet was Queen of the Week. No-no’s are fried chicken and cheese and crackers.

Laurel Alons, daughter of Gerald and Deb Alons, was selected to be in the choir as one of the Iowa Ambassadors of Music for 2000 representing Western Christian High School.
A passenger train arrived at Sanborn Friday night on the I&M Rail Road. It was the Ruthven and Lost Island Express, a special dinner train that traveled from Ruthven to Sanborn and back…It was a big attraction since passenger trains are now a rare sight here.
