SBCD holds Open House at new design studio
Sanborn Building Center & Design held an Open House July 8 at their new Kitchen + Bath Studio located at the intersection of Highways 18 and 59 North in Sanborn.
A meal was served with burgers grilled up by the Masons. In addition, the youth of the Christian Reformed Church were serving root beer floats.
“We had a great turnout for our open house, and we truly appreciated the town’s support,” said Taylor Roede, Kitchen + Bath Designer. “We have heard a lot of wonderful feedback on the new showroom and excitement from the community on having someone in town offering all that we do! We have cabinet lines of all price points- from custom cabinets to a line that allows me to compete with the big box stores! We also carry a lot of countertop options, flooring (including carpet), hardware for cabinets, Onyx Showers, and tile.”
SBCD is owned by Chris Haht and Trish Morenz. Their lumber yard is located on East 1st Street.
Roede has nearly nine year’s experience in kitchen and bath design. “I was located up at the lakes before,” she explained, “but I live in Hartley with my family, so we are just excited to have me closer to the kids during the day and the opportunity to work for a small, family-owned company like SBCD. One of the nice things about what we do here is that we can go anywhere so we do cover a pretty large territory.”
