Arnold Stegeman began his duties Monday as Officer in Charge at the Sanborn Post Office.
The Gerda Laussen estate 160 acre farm located in Clay County sold last Saturday for $1,925.00 per acre bringing a record price for northwest Iowa.
Kevin Swalley became Sanborn’s first 16-letterman as he completed his high school career. He has lettered all four years of high school in football, basketball, golf and baseball.

People have mentioned about how nice the flowers are in the planters along Main Street. They are planted by the Twentieth Century Club.
The Sanborn Message Sign in the City Park was activated last Tuesday. The first message on the sign promoted Railroad Days.
The Farmall Promenade square dancing tractors will perform in the First Reformed Church parking lot for the Sanborn Railroad Days parade.
