Shari Pyle and Diane and Chad McKee of Sioux Falls, Janet and Ken Brunsting of Hull. Nancy and Ryan Van Dyke, Donna and John Farrell, and Cathy and Doug Lyman, all of Sanborn, were at the Sanborn Parade Saturday morning to see their mother, Harriet Van Veldhuizen and Aunt Jeane Van Veldhuizen ride a float as Parade Marshals. Also attending were Jeane’s children: Dan and Laurie Van Veldhuizen of Madrid, and Hope and Luke Corso and children: Sam, Sean and Jill of Genesceo, IL. Some of Harriet’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren from Tea and Sioux Falls, SD and Doon and Webster City were also there. Also Harriet’s niece, Judy and Bill Steuck of Pipestone, MN. The group enjoyed a noon meal and get-together at the Library. Jeane’s family also enjoyed time with her Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday morning.
Weekend guests in the home of Lee and Susie Van Tol were their nephew Dr. Stan Van den Berg and his wife, Nancy of Wichita, KS and daughter Debbie of Orange, CA.
Shelby and Rylee Partridge, River and Lakin of North Liberty visited Sylvia Andringa over the weekend.
The Sanborn High School Class of 1972 and spouses met in Sheldon at the Joe McCarty home Friday night for their Class reunion. Bob Ellett, Ann (Menke) Jaycox and Becky (Hakeman) Suckow were honored as the top academics of their class.
Norm Holz and Randy Holz attended the annual Peterson family picnic Sunday held at Battle Creek. This is the family of Shirley Holz. Twenty-two were in attendance.
Jade Paulson and Gage Butler from Coralville spent the weekend with Nana and Papa Tressler. They enjoyed the parade, Mason breakfast, and the fire department breakfast.
Linda Rozeboom’s granddaughter, Danielle Rozeboom from Sioux Falls, SD visited from Tuesday evening until Friday in her home.
Linda Rozeboom’s friend, Barb Gailbrath from Rose, OR and her sister, Shelly Johnson from Madison, SD visited Linda Tuesday and Wednesday of last week.
Terry and Kerry Enger came from Des Moines to spend some time with a few of their classmates for Sanborn Railroad Days.
Ryker Eliker of Lincoln, NE stayed all week with his grandparents, Randy and Candice Lyman. Kim and Swede Eliker and Parker came Thursday evening for Railroad Days. Saturday evening Parker was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
