On July 27 Rex and Debbie Raymond met their Houston, TX family, Reggie and Jackie Booker and children half way at Edmond, OK. The Raymonds brought their grandchildren, Lincoln and Cecilia home with them to vacation here for two weeks. They took them back to Edmond on August 10.
On Saturday Jose and Carol Salazar traveled to Fremont, NE to the home of their daughter, Jeremy and Christy Ten Kley. Christy hosted a surprise 80th birthday get-together for Jose. In attendance were Christy and Jeremy, Ava and friend Sam, Ady and friend Matinson, and Claire Ann. Also attending were Troy and April Salazar and Matt and Sally Urbanek. They all enjoyed a great time, good food and visit.
USA Special Olympics has announced the athletes who will be participating in the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games to be held in Turin, Italy. Among those athletes going is Nick Mills from Sioux Falls, SD. He is a grandson of Jack and Carol Elgersma and great-grandson of Norman Holz. He will be competing in skiing.
Cloe Starkenburg of Lake Park visited her aunt, Linda Rozeboom last Friday afternoon.
Sunday afternoon Jeff Dasen of Scottsdale, AZ and his mother, Charlotte Dasen visited Lloyd and Arles Winter at Fieldcrest Home in Sheldon. Lloyd and Charlotte grew up as neighbors near Boyden.
Jeff Dasen left Monday morning for home after an extended visit in the parental Charlotte Dasen home.
Pastor Keith and Shirley Christiansen, and Shawn and CJ Schroeder were Sunday supper guests in the Jim and Becky Suckow home.
Last week Monday evening Sylvia Andringa and Lois Hakeman drove to Orange City where they attended a lecture at the Dutch Museum. Andrew Klump spoke about Dutch immigrants coming to this area.
