Memorial Tribute for James Edward Fink
James Edward Fink, 54, of Modesto, California passed away on January 3, 2024. James, the son of Karen and Edward Fink, was born November 20th, 1969 in Tampa, Florida. He lived his youth in Hartley/Sanborn, Iowa. He graduated High School in 1989.
After graduation James enlisted in the Army where he served two years. His basic training was in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. While serving in the Army he was deployed to Kuwait, where he served in Desert Storm, also known as the Gulf War. He received several medals during his time spent in the Army.
Following his honorable discharge, James moved back to Sanborn, Iowa where he worked at AMPI for several years and then drove truck, hauling freight over the road. On March 18, 1994 he was united in marriage to Cindi Watchhorn. Together they had two children, Levi and Samantha. James and Cindi were later divorced.
James later moved to California and soon decided to settle in Modesto. He worked as a service technician at Paradise Tire and Wheel until he passed away.
James is survived by his children, Levi Fink and Samantha Fink, both of Bentonville, Arkansas; his twin brother John Fink and brother Mark Klaassen, both of Paullina, Iowa; and his father, Edward Fink.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Klaassen; his stepfather, Myron Klaassen; and his grandparents, Merna and Earl Jacobs.
Family and friends will gather on September 3rd at 3:00 p.m. at the Sanborn Cemetery for a memorial service.
