The Charles Coyne house has been sold to Delmar Elliott with possession October 17. The Coynes will be moving this weekend to their new home in Jefferson.
A party of bear hunters consisting of Fred Stofferan, Don Hinkey, Leroy Peters and Terry Leth left September 6 for northern Minnesota. Fred shot a 175 lb. Black bear with a shotgun on September 7. Terry also got a bear.

Henry Buteyn was 90 years old on Labor Day. A family celebration was held on the family farm of 60 plus years where the Jerry Buteyns now live.
Newcomers welcomed to Sanborn were Pastor Ken Sautterlin, Greg and Linda Heyn, Rod and Carolyn Andringa, Dale and Julie Van Dyke, and Lisa Janssen.
