The Sanborn Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an open house October 10 to honor Dr. M.J. Shanahan who has completed 46 years of dental practice in Sanborn.
Roth TV is holding a grand opening in their store on Sanborn’s Main Street Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Lyman attended the Muddy Mo Ceramics Show at Omaha this weekend.

Jennie Postma’s handcrafted items earned a number of blue and purple awards at the Clay County Fair this year. Jennie’s skills are completely self-taught.
The Sanborn Pioneer is compiling information for the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce calendar for the year 2000.
Karmen Smith and Shane Elgersma were crowned Queen and King for the 1999 Homecoming.
New dugouts were built in the Miller Park ball field by Dan Daggett and Terry Langenfeld, city employees…The work took three days.
