Chad and Abby Bents of Rockport, TX stopped to visit Wade and Sherryl Tressler Sunday.
Six youth of the Sanborn Christian Reformed Church made Profession of Faith during the morning worship service Sunday with Pastor Phil Westra officiating. They were Asa Alons, Aidan Carlson, Laremy Schreurs, Tayden Van Beek, Kaleb Visser and Josiah Visser.
The fall Rally of the northwest Iowa Lutheran Womens Missionary League of the LCMS was held at St. Peter Lutheran Church at Ocheyedan on Wed., September 25. Attending from Sanborn were Sandi Kleve and Becky Suckow.
Kent and Glenda Miller attended a dinner at the Primghar park shelter house Sunday, hosted by Chad and Andrew Odenbrett.
Lillian Dee Schirmer was baptized during the Sunday morning worship service at First Reformed Church in Sanborn with Pastor Mark Ellens, officiating. Lillian is the infant daughter of Trenton and Natasha Schirmer. A dinner in her honor was later held at the Miller Park shelter house.
Lee and Susie Van Tol report the birth of a great-great-grandson and great-grandson. Great-great-grandson Brode Lee, son of Kaeyln Bittner, was born on September 25 weighing nine pounds, six ounces at birth. Grandparents are Stephanie and Jordan Smith of Del Rapids, SD. On September 26, great-grandson #25 was born. Jackson Chad Vander Zee weighed 10 pounds at birth and is the son of Chad and Jennie Vander Zee. Grandparents are Don and Jackie Vander Zee, all of the Chicago area.
Glenda Schirmer and Charlotte Dasen brought dinner to enjoy with Linda Rozeboom last week Thursday. They spent the afternoon visiting her. Linda is doing well after her knee replacement surgery.
Rex and Debbie Raymond drove to Houston, TX where they helped celebrate the first birthday of their youngest granddaughter, Molly on September 28. She is the daughter of Reggie and Jackie Booker and sister of Lincoln and Cecilia. The Raymonds returned home early this week.
Don and Pat Enger, her sister, Pauline Peitzmier, and brother, Glen Schuller recently returned from a week’s vacation at Cripple Creek, CO. They enjoyed lots of sightseeing while there.
Jose and Carol Salazar visited Charlotte Dasen last week Thursday. Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Friday to spend a week in the home of his mother, Charlotte Dasen.
Danielle Rozeboom of Sioux Falls, SD spent Saturday and Sunday with her grandmother, Linda Rozeboom. Cloe Rozeboom visited Linda on Monday.
Last week Tuesday Carol Salazar, and Kathy Ginger traveled to Worthington, MN to visit Carol’s sister, Margaret Larson. They enjoyed dinner and some shopping together.
