Lee and Susie Van Tol’s daughter, Jackie and her husband Don Vander Zee arrived last Saturday noon for a weekend to help Lee celebrate his 90th birthday anniversary. They enjoyed a pizza party at the home of Mike and Judy Visser with their family. On Sunday all the Van Tol children came and attended church services with Lee and Susie. Coffee and cupcakes were served in Lee’s honor by the children and grandchildren. They also served dinner. The Van Tols were later able to meet their great-great-grandson in the afternoon. From 1:30-3:30 friends and neighbors came to help Lee celebrate his birthday. Don and Jackie returned home Monday noon.
Last week Monday Joanne Andersen drove to Des Moines. She visited with her brother, Henry and his wife, Barbara, checking their latest building projects. Later Joanne visited her daughter Pamela and husband, Chris, enjoying supper at a local restaurant. Last Tuesday Joanne accompanied Pamela and Chris to the doctor for Pam’s medical procedure. Joanne returned home that evening.
Jim Dasen returned home to Cedar Rapids last Thursday after spending a week in the parental Charlotte Dasen home.
On Saturday evening Cindy McParland and Carol Salazar attended the Elvis Presley impersonator show at the Spencer Theater. It was Joseph Hall. They enjoyed supper out and a great show.
Randy and Candace Lyman attended the wedding of Morgan Lyman to Tanner Vlaminck held at Canton, SD last Friday. Swede and Kim Eliker and Ryker of Lincoln, NE and Keith and Shawn McReynolds of Webb City, MO also attended the wedding.
Last week Wednesday Sylvia Andringa’s nephew Jerry and Geraldine Runia of Brookings, SD visited her. On Saturday Lorraine Edwards of Bigelow, MN visited Sylvia. Sunday visitors were Riley and Shelby Partridge, Laken and River of North Liberty.
