The Sanborn High School Band will be in attendance and perform this Thursday afternoon when President Ford visits Sioux City.
The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors finalized plans for a Fall Appreciation Supper scheduled for November 2. The turkey supper will be served to the public by Chamber members at the Community School.
Henry Hofland won first place in the carcass contest at the O’Brien County Market Hog Show. Hofland’s entry had a ham loin index of 157%. He received a trophy and $100.

The Donut Lady will be on hand at Prairie View with hot donuts for Halloween “Trick of Treaters.”
To set the record straight: The correct term is Daylight Saving Time; not Daylight Savings Time.
There are about two million bushels of corn in two large piles at Siouxland Farmers Cooperative in Sanborn. Yields are reportedly from 150-180 bushels per acre, about as good as ever seen in this area.
