Holding tanks at the Sanborn AMPI plant received a coat of bright blue paint this past week. Daryle’s Decorating did the painting.
The Sanborn Fire Department was called late Wednesday afternoon to a baled hay fire at the Kenneth DeKam farm…it took several hours of hauling water from Sanborn…a local farmer, Glenn Damman assisted the firemen by helping to haul water.
The Friendly Twelve Club met Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs. Sylvia Beyer.
The Emanon Club met Monday afternoon in the home of Mrs. Chas. Swalley.

Record high temperatures and a lack of precipitation have prevailed in this fall’s weather. As of Tuesday a burning ban was in effect in 61 of the 99 counties in Iowa.
Selected for All-State Music Festival were Stacy Vander Velde, Evan Erickson, Rebecca Gerritson and Rachel Funke.
There are 62,000 survivor veterans of World War I with the average age of 96. Among them is 104 year old Bernie Van Heukelom who will be celebrating Veterans Day at his home at Prairie View.
Lorn and Joan Wills recently helped deliver 1600 pounds of blankets and clothes to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation…This was a project of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheldon.
Making Profession of Faith Sunday at Cornerstone United Reformed Church in Sanborn were Jennifer Diekevers, Karla Hofman, Holly Kreykes, Seth Postma, Holly Van Beek, and Roxanne Van Beek.
