Ten members of the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks received recognition as the 2024 Class A District 1 All-District Football Teams were released. HMS players on the all-district first team were James Gellerman, Jack Mastbergen, Damion Hansen, Slayton McCarter and Blake Meendering. Second team selections for the Hawks were Ricky Smith Jr. and Alex Billings. Receiving honorable mention were Jackson Vogt and Isaac Schierholz. In the Special Honors caregory, Mattis Octmann was selected as the kicker. The first-teamers are all seniors. Smith Jr., Billings, Schierholz and Octmann are juniors and Vogt is a freshman.
