The Crazy 8 card club met at Jay’s Restaurant last Friday for lunch and cards. Ardis Dummett was high scorer, Donna Fell, second and Sandi Kleve low. Sandi Kleve was hostess.
Steve and Anita Goetz left Friday after spending a month visiting in the parental Charlotte Dasen home and with the Jerry Grays in Rochester, MN. Steve underwent carpal tunnel surgery at Mayo on both wrists. The last day here Anita tripped on a step resulting in two fractures in her foot. It made for an interesting flight home to Alaska.
On Wednesday Carol Salazar, Kathy Ginger, and Susan Leth met in the home of Cindy McParland to have a Christmas get-together. They enjoyed a potluck, exchanged gifts and enjoyed the afternoon visiting. They reported a great time with lifetime friends.
On Thursday Joyce Tewes, Mary Waltz, Elaine Dagel, Nancy Nagel from Hartley, and Carol Salazar and Cindy McParland from Sanborn met at Jay’s Restaurant especially to meet and visit with Anita Goetz who was home from Alaska visiting her mother, Charlotte Dasen. They enjoyed breakfast and had a great visit.
Lee and Susie Van Tol, Mike and Judy Visser, and Gertie Visser all attended the children’s Christmas service at the Christian Reformed Church at Hull Sunday. The children of Justin and Mandy Hoekstra took part in the program. Later they all went to the Hoekstra home for lunch.
