Legal Notice – TCA
The Community Agency (TCA) provides basic and enhanced telecommunications services within its service area. Basic services are offered at the following rates: Single Party Residence Service $12.50/month & Single Party Business Service $25.00/month. Broadband Internet Access Service, the ability to transmit and receive data, is available. Contact TCA for more information including services and pricing.
Local residence and business service includes: Voice grade access to the public telephone network, local exchange service free of per minute charges, Access to 911 emergency services, and Toll limitation for qualifying low-income consumers.
The Lifeline government assistance program is also available for qualifying low-income subscribers. This program provides one discount per household(defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address and share income and expenses) for telephone or broadband service meeting the minimum standards required for the program. Toll blocking at no charge and reduced deposits are available. To qualify, a subscriber’s household income must be at or below 135 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participate in one of the following programs: Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), -Federal Public Housing Assistance, and Veteran’s Pension and Survivor Benefit. Lifeline service is not transferable. Only eligible consumers may enroll in the program. Consumers who willfully make false statements to obtain Lifeline service can be fined, imprisoned or barred from the program.
