With the month of April come changes at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn.
Beginning April 6, worship returns to Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Also, the vacancy pastor will be Rev. Kenneth Funke, who has been leading the midweek lenten services and who led the Thanksgiving Eve and midweek advent services late last year.
The final service at St. John’s for the current vacancy pastor, Rev. Keith Christiansen, will be Saturday, March 29 at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Christiansen has accepted a call to serve as full-time pastor at his vacancy churches in Emmetsburg and West Bend.
St. John’s has called a pastoral candidate from the LCMS seminaries. The call service at Concordia Seminary, Ft. Wayne will be April 29 with the call service at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis occurring the following evening.
