The City Council has approved the mayor’s appointment of Rod Mercer to the Sanborn Fire Department and Julie Van Dyke to the Sanborn Ambulance Team.
Girls State Track qualifiers at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn include Katie Wescott, Shannon McNally, April Taylor, Lisa Epping, Shanna Vetter and Ethanie Wallinga.
Jennifer Van Beek of Sanborn is one of the Western Christian athletes to qualify for the Girls State Track Meet at Des Moines. She qualified with the 13th fastest time in the 1500 meters.
