The Sanborn area received 6.27 inches of precipitation during the last week’s torrential rainfall from Friday through Monday.
The expansion of the front of the Sanborn Funeral Home is progressing rapidly towards completion.
Several riders, the majority of whom were Sanborn residents, were injured Sunday when the amusement ride they had just seated themselves on (the paratrooper ride) broke down at Lake Okoboji. Of the 11 passengers, nine were injured and six still hospitalized as of Tuesday. (The Sanborn injured included Bob and Elaine Olson, Barbara and Bradley Olson, Helmet Rohrs, Eileen Jacobs and Gary Rohrs.).
