Homecoming Week for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Community School is October 10-14. Each day of the week features a Dress Up Day.

Monday, Oct. 4 is America/Patriotic Day. It’s also Senior Night for HMS Volleyball as Harris-Lake Park comes to call. The JV football team plays at Sibley-Ocheyedan.

Tuesday, Oct. 5 is Jersey Day. The Coronation Ceremony to crown the Homecoming King and Queen will begin at 7:00 in the new gym.

Wednesday, Oct. 6 is Decade Day. For the Freshman it’s the 2000s, for the Sophomores the 1990s, for the Juniors the 1980s and for the Seniors the 1970s.

Thursday, Oct. 7 is Dynamic Duo/Twin Day. The cross country team will be traveling to George for a meet.

Friday, Oct. 8 is a big day with an All-district pep rally at the high school from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The Homecoming parade gets rolling at 2:15 p.m. in downtown Hartley.

Local businesses are welcome to participate! The Homecoming football game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. with the Hinton Blackhawks as the opponent.
