Melvin First Reformed Movie Night is Sunday
First Reformed Church in Melvin will host their next Community Movie Night on Sunday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m. when the movie “Spirit Riders” will be shown.
In this touching family drama, a rebellious seventeen-year-old girl finds herself arrested and sentenced to a work-release program at the Spirit Riders ranch, which is an equine (horse) therapy camp where she is clearly out of her element. However, she finds a kindred spirit in Blaze, a retired racehorse having difficulty adjusting to his new domesticated life. Under the guidance of the ranch’s no-nonsense owner, she helps retrain Blaze and in the process, learns how to let go of the past, forgive herself, and set her spirit free.
Refreshments will be served during a brief intermission.
