The board of supervisors approved $417,650 to spend. Revenues were already budgeted including approximately $1.3 million in American Rescue Plan Amendment (ARPA) funds.
Most of the spending goes to administrative expenses, $408,000. The expenses were county projects submitted to a committee for consideration for using the ARPA dollars. Much of the funding is going to digitizing both auditor and recorder records.
The county is accepting requests for ARPA funds from county interests only until March 15, 2022. At that time it will open applications for any remaining funds to non profit organizations.
