Kent and Glenda Miller were Thanksgiving Day guests in the home of their son Chad Odenbrett, Hunter, Hayden and Andrew at Primghar. Additional guests were Mike and Tricia, Addi, Colin and Kiah Odenbrett, Randy Odenbrett, Jeremy, Michele, Emily, Jay, and Tim Odenbrett.
Josh Brown of Sioux Falls, SD and Joe Brown of Sanborn came Thursday morning to celebrate Thanksgiving in the home of their parents, Randy and Darla Brown. Josh returned home that evening.
The Ginger family held their Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at the Connie Ginger home. Those present were Tammy Ginger, Cristy Ginger and Heather, Caleb and Haley Malenke, Tommy Ginger and Carter and Tommy’s friend Rose Sogn, Craig Ginger, Wendy and Heath Reitsma, Lacie, Luke and Bree and Pam Prine.
Thanksgiving Day guests in the Charlotte Dasen home were her house guests, Steve and Anita Goetz of Fairbanks, AK; and Jerry and Cathy Gray and Brian Gray of Rochester, MN. The Grays came Wednesday and returned home on Thursday evening. The Goetzes left Friday morning.
Kent and Glenda Miller were among guests of Sara Luenberger at George Saturday celebrating Thanksgiving. Additional guests were Jim and Sandy Luenberger, Brian Luenberger. Mike, Trisha and Addi Odenbrett, Scott, Rachel and Kinsey Schirmer, Trenton Schirmer and Tasha.
Todd and Anita Heitritter celebrated Thanksgiving on Sunday, Nov. 21 with James and Morgan Granstra, Paige Poppema and son, Kaine, and Brian and Nikki Wede and children: Nicolai, Larkin, and Shea.
On Friday, Nov. 19, Jose and Carol Salazar traveled to Des Moines to spend the weekend with their son, Troy and April Salazar. They went especially to attend the wedding of godson Craig Snyder and Kylee Johnson who were married on Saturday. Also joining them were daughter Christy Ten Kley and grandkids Ava, Ady, and Claire Ann. On Monday their son, Troy, Jose and Carol traveled back to Sanborn to attend the funeral service of their dear friend, Jeanette Endorf. On Wednesday they all returned back to Des Moines to spend Thanksgiving at Troy’s home. They returned home on Friday. They enjoyed a great visit and delicious food. Their daughter, Christy Ten Kley also came home from Nebraska to attend the funeral for Jeanette and returned home in the afternoon.
Thanksgiving Day dinner guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Stacey Eeten of Sioux Falls, SD, Alissa, Chloe, Taylen, Ellie and Jace Holland of Buffalo Center, Andy and Brandi, Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright, and Don Hakeman of Sanborn.
Don Hakeman was a Sunday dinner guest in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home.
Jim and Becky Suckow were Thanksgiving Day guests in the home of their daughter, Amy Suckow at Eden Prairie, MN. Andrew Suckow was also a guest.
Barb Pry attended the Craig Snyder wedding in Des Moines on November 20 and then traveled to Omaha, NE and spent the week at the home of her daughter, Sally Urbanec and celebrated Thanksgiving with the Urbanec and Honkomp families.
Friday overnight guests of Cristy Ginger and Heather were Caleb and Haley Malenke and Lacie Reitsma.
Thanksgiving Day guests in the home of Jackie Van Engen were Naomi Bosch, Kevin and Lisa Koerselman, Kaiden and Karter of Sanborn; Mark and Donna Koerselman of Sheldon, Kristi Maloney and daughter, Allison and Deanne Gibson of Sioux City; and Lori Koerselman and children: Callie, Cody, Chloe and Cooper of Sherburn, MN. Holding to tradition, oyster stew and chili were enjoyed in the evening. Kevin Maloney and Kyle Koerselman were unable to attend due to work schedules. Deanne’s daughter, Hillary and husband Danny Duncan were unable to attend due to other commitments. They agreed they all had much to be thankful for.
Guests in the Hank Iedema home for Thanksgiving dinner were Doug and Michelle Van Kley, Heather Van Kley, Blake Van Kley, Rich and Alisa Stanton, Zak Stanton and Payton Gibbons.
Mike, Danielle and Bryce Rozeboom of Sioux Falls, SD were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests in the Linda Rozeboom home.
Overnight guests in the home of Harriet Van Veldhuizen were her daughter and granddaughters, Shari, Leah and Anna Pyle. Thursday noon they joined about 25 relatives at the Doon Community Center. Others attending were the families of Janet and Ken Brunsting, Donna and John Farrell, Nancy and Ryan Van Dyke, and Diane and Chad McKee. They came from Sanborn, Okoboji, Hull and Doon, IA and Sioux Falls and Garretson, SD. The day was spent eating, visiting and playing games. Later in the afternoon, Harriet and Jeane Van Veldhuizen stopped in Rock Valley for a brief visit with Jean’s sister, Esther Vanden Berg.
Rex and Deb Raymond and son Ross Raymond of Terril, were Thanksgiving guests in the home of Deb’s father, Dale McBeth at Sioux Falls, SD.
Thanksgiving Day dinner guests in the home of Sally Knowlton were Eddie and Tammy Knowlton of Crescent, David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD and Melinda Larsen of Sioux Falls, SD. Bob and Connie Knowlton were afternoon visitors.
Gary and Mary Japenga were Thanksgiving Day guests in the home of Eric and Amber Japenga at Pocahontas.
Scott Chrisman was among the Thanksgiving Day dinner guests in the Gerry Chrisman home in rural Sheldon.
Sunday dinner guests in the Gary and Mary Japenga home were Mike and Linda Japenga of Phoenix, AZ, Eric and Amber Japenga and family of Pocahontas, Mark Japenga and Cathy of Spencer, Arlene Boscaljon of Sheldon, and Don Gorsett.
Thanksgiving Day guests in the home of Keith and Nancy Iverson were Chase and Amber Vermeer and Huckson of Orange City, Brent Elgersma, Brian and Shannon Letche, Baden and fiance Megan, Kirsten, Crystal and Aaron all of Marcus, Shane and Lanea Elgersma, Joey, Sam, Aubrey, and Marty of Otsega, MN, and Nick and Paige Willey and Grayson of Sanborn. Shane and Lanea and family and the Letches spent the night and enjoyed a brunch the next morning.
Duane and Libby Camarigg hosted Thanksgiving at their home. Guests included Mark and Denise Bohnet of Sheldon, Ethan and Lexi Camarigg and son of Boyden, Teague and April Camarigg and family of Sioux Falls, SD, Elicia Camarigg of Sioux City, Corky Camarigg, and Jerry and Liz Palmer of Forreston, IL.
Mina Van Kley enjoyed Thanksgiving Day in the home of her son, Denny and Sandy Van Kley at Sioux Center. She was happy to see her great-granddaughter. Her son, Doug Van Kley of Edgerton, MN stopped early Thanksgiving Day to wish her a happy Thanksgiving. On Saturday Craig and Sharon Van Kley of Blue Earth, MN came to visit. On Sunday Doug came and took her to Sioux Falls, SD to visit her sister, Tena Buysman who is hospitalized after breaking her hip.
Marie Maranell of Carlisle and Pat Cooper of Indianola visited their mother, Wanda Schuver over the weekend helping her move to Prairie View Manor.
