Jose Salazar had the misfortune to fall the day after Thanksgiving at the home of his son Troy at Des Moines. He underwent foot surgery at Spencer on January 5 which resulted in nine screws and two plates being put in his foot. He can put no weight on the foot for six weeks. He is recovering at home.

Sally Knowlton entered the Sanford Sheldon Hospital Sunday as a medical patient. She hopes to return home in few days.
